As a Holding Space Doula I listen and explore loss and grief with you.

Holding space is a time when we communicate deeply together with no goal or stated results. We’re not fixing anything.
I accompany you by providing a gentle, supportive, and non-judgmental presence as you explore the feelings. Sometimes this is done in silence. Listening deeply doesn’t always require words.

I am especially drawn to holding space virtually. When someone is dying the care is centered on them where they are. Some beloved folk who, for whatever reason, cannot physically be in that space can feel left out of that circle of care.  Meeting virtually with me gives them the room to spend specific time shutting out all the “noise” to understand their feelings and relationship with this death.

For Doulas who would welcome the virtual support for those outside the immediate circle of care, I serve as a Remote Doula. My time is focused solely on those I am holding space with and their own emotions and self inspection. No information from the dying person and not specifically shared by the Primary Doula will ever be shared.
